John and Dr. Dawn M. White have been “triumphantly” married for over thirty years. Before they were married, they have been helping Singles understand the purpose of being single through counseling, displaying God’s character, and teaching people how to study the Bible.
John received Christ January 1, 1986. He served in the United States Army from 1983 to 1988. He is a graduate of Speak the Word School of Ministry – a school for those called to the five-fold ministry under the auspices of The Christian House of Prayer, with the late Bishop Nathaniel Holcomb as Sr. Pastor, located in Copperas Cove, TX, and studied Biblical Education at Atlantic Southern Bible College in Lilburn, GA.
He is currently the Marketing Systems Director of White On White Enterprises (WOWE), a Marketing Systems Provider that provides foundational frameworks and marketing systems for the emerging entrepreneur and small business owner who wants to build a thriving business correctly and grow effectively while freeing up their time to live the lifestyle they’ve envisioned.

Dr. Dawn gave her life to Jesus at the age of nine. From that day forward, Dawn has shared her walk with Christ in school, on her job, and in ministry. In May 2011, Dawn received her Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership. In 2016 she earned a certification as an Instructional Designer.
As for ministry, Dawn earned several certificates in various bible schools, including a two-year completion of Covenant Bible College at Covenant Church in Carrollton, Texas. She served as a deaconess, bible teacher, singles minister, marriage minister, and outreach coordinator focusing on evangelizing and serving the poor.
Dr. Dawn is a retired educator of 30 years in elementary, middle and higher education. She has an Educational Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and a Master of Arts in Educational Technology.
She is currently the Co-Director of Impact STEAM Academy (ISA), an enrichment program designed to prepare elementary age students for careers of tomorrow by fostering and perpetuating enthusiasm for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics disciplines.

A Ministry Is Formed
In John’s desire to be a godly single man, he understood that he had to live in obedience to the Word of God and allow the Holy Spirit’s transforming work enable him to live the life God predestined him to live. He realized that he couldn’t do it on his own and he needed to transform into God’s system of thinking so he could live the good life God wanted him to live.
Being frustrated watching other Christian singles compromising their faith and conforming to the world’s lifestyle, John began studying the Bible to learn God’s thought process about the purpose for being single.
During that time, he discovered that one of the problems Christian singles were facing was the fact that, they were not studying the Bible for themselves. They either didn’t know how to study the Bible or didn’t make time to study. So, being part of the Singles Ministry at his church, he began teaching other singles how to study the Bible.
Unknown to him at the time, Dawn, who lived more than a hundred miles away and didn’t know John at all, felt the same frustration and was doing the same thing he was doing; teaching singles how to study the Bible.
About a year after God put them together as husband and wife (we'll share how that happened later), they began teaching singles how to study the Bible for themselves. In their unique style of bible study, singles learned how to hear God clearly for themselves, how to apply God’s messages to their life, understand the different ways God talks to other people, and look for ways to share who God is in them to others – spreading the Gospel.
Together, they formed “The S.A.L.T. (Singles Applying the Lord’s Truth) Singles Ministry. S.A.L.T. teaches singles how to study the Bible for themselves by implementing group bible studies, utilizing bible study helps, various bible translations and dictionaries. They look at the culture, language, historical facts, and use the basic rules of hermeneutics in order to understand what the Holy Spirit is saying through the Scriptures.
The biblical principles they learned when they were single, became a lifestyle that they are still living out in their marriage today, more than 30 years later.
